Collegiate women's soccer: McNeese and UTSA secure conference victories

In recent collegiate women's soccer action, both UTRGV and South Florida suffered conference losses.

McNeese defeated UTRGV 2-0 in a Southland Conference match. After a quiet first half where UTRGV's Mariana Amezcua recorded several saves, McNeese took the lead in the second half via a strike from Sumayah Brown. Despite an overturned goal for UTRGV in the 81st minute, McNeese secured the win.

UTSA defeated South Florida 3-0 in American Athletic Conference play. UTSA took an early lead less than two minutes into the match with a goal by Addi O'Kelley. Although South Florida outshot UTSA 7-4 in the second half, goals in the 63rd and 79th minutes by the Roadrunners sealed the victory.
