Collegiate women's soccer programs prepare for season openers

Several major collegiate women's soccer programs are preparing to launch their upcoming seasons.

Syracuse University will host Villanova at the SU Soccer Stadium on Thursday, August 13. This marks the start of the 31st season for the Syracuse program. The Orange enter the season following a 5-9-4 record last year and will feature a new offensive lineup and goalkeeper Maya Naimoli.

Meanwhile, the preseason third-ranked Duke Blue Devils are traveling to Los Angeles to begin their campaign. Duke is scheduled to face Southern California on Wednesday, August 12, followed by a match against ninth-ranked UCLA on Sunday, August 16. Head coach Kieran Hall leads a roster that returns eight starters.
