Collège des Hauts Sommets announces $59M expansion project

Collège des Hauts Sommets and the Municipality of Saint-Tite-des-Caps have announced a $59 million infrastructure project designed to ensure the long-term viability and growth of the educational institution.

Based on a sustainability plan by the firm RCGT, the project involves constructing new buildings closer to the village center, including a school, student residences, and sports facilities. The expansion aims to increase student capacity from 110 to 250, helping the school reach a critical mass for financial stability.

Additionally, the college intends to obtain specialized status in educational adaptation to better support students with special needs. The project is a partnership between the education, municipal, and regional development sectors, expected to generate over $1 million in annual tax revenue and revitalize the local area through improved community and leisure services.
