Collin Sexton returns to full Lakers practice
Collin Sexton has returned to full practice with the Los Angeles Lakers following a preseason spent sidelined by a lower-leg injury. Lakers head coach JJ Redick confirmed Sexton's participation in Monday's session.
While Sexton reported feeling “super excited” and physically good after the practice, his availability for the Lakers' regular-season opener against the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday remains uncertain. The 27-year-old guard is managing lower-leg tightness and is taking his recovery “day by day.”
Sexton's return is significant for the Lakers' rotation, as his ability to provide reliable ball-handling could offer coach Redick more flexibility in managing minutes for players like Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves, potentially altering the role of reserve guard Quentin Grimes.
