Netherlands reports multiple emergencies in Gelderland, Rotterdam and Overijssel
On 7‑8 June a series of emergency incidents occurred across the Netherlands. In Gelderland, a house in Driel suffered extensive damage after a chimney fire, and a person jumped from the John Frost Bridge in Arnhem but rescued themselves. Police arrested a man for attempting to cut electricity cables at a construction site in Doetinchem, and a car collision on a bridge in Wageningen left one injured.
In Rotterdam, a car wreck was found in the Nieuwe Maas with no body inside, while several employees at a Rapenburg site became ill during cleaning work. A scooter rider without a helmet assaulted police officers on the Zuidplein, a robbery took place on the Grote Beer, and a 12‑year‑old was detained for a knife threat. A bus caught fire in Feijenoord and a drunk driver overturned a car, causing significant vehicle damage.
In Overijssel, a cyclist was injured after being hit by a car on the Flevoweg roundabout in Kampen. Deventer experienced a fourth suspected arson‑related car fire on Frits Drijverstraat. A bowling centre in Zwolle was evacuated after a fire broke out in an electronics cabinet.
