Colline Pisane residents mobilize against proposed wind farm

Local mobilization is increasing in the Colline Pisane region of Italy to oppose a proposed wind farm project by Santa Luce S. r. l. The project involves the installation of 13 wind turbines across the municipalities of Santa Luce, Orciano Pisano, Fauglia, and Crespina Lorenzana.

During a recent public meeting organized by the Comitato delle Colline Pisane, local administrators and citizens expressed strong opposition. Giamila Carli, the mayor of Santa Luce, stated her opposition to the project, citing its extremely negative impact on the territory. The four involved municipalities have already sent a letter of opposition to the Tuscany Region.

The Comitato delle Colline Pisane plans to continue its efforts through public meetings, signature collection, school outreach, and organized walks through the hills to raise awareness about the environmental implications of the development.
