Collingwood AFLW team faces mounting struggles after fourth consecutive loss

Collingwood’s AFLW team is facing significant challenges following a 39-point loss to undefeated Carlton. During the match, captain Ruby Schleicher scored three goals and four behinds, accounting for 100 per cent of her team’s total score before teammates Georgia Knight and Dominique Carbone provided late relief.

The defeat marks Collingwood’s fourth consecutive loss, leaving the team second-last on the ladder. The club has struggled with injuries to key players such as Ash Centra and Jemma Rigoni. Historical concerns regarding list management, recruiting strategies, and high staff turnover in football operations continue to impact the team's performance.

Collingwood is currently seeking its first win of the season ahead of an upcoming match against Gold Coast at People First Stadium.
