Collingwood coach says Bobby Hill not ready for return, other injuries ahead of Swans clash

Collingwood Football Club coach Craig McRae confirmed that forward Bobby Hill will not be considered for senior selection this weekend. Although Hill completed a full VFL match, his GPS metrics were below the required level and he recorded just five disposals. McRae added that Hill’s partner is due to give birth soon, further delaying his return.

The Magpies also ruled out ruckman Darcy Cameron, citing an ankle injury and the impending birth of his child. With both players unavailable, 22‑year‑old Oscar Steene will assume ruck duties against the ladder‑leading Sydney Swans at the SCG. Other listed absentees include captain Darcy Moore, Pat Lipinski, Harry Perryman and Tim Membrey.

Collingwood will travel to Sydney without Cameron and with several senior players sidelined, while McRae highlighted the strong form of Sydney ruckman Brodie Grundy.
