Collinsville stud sets record at South Australian ram sale

The Collinsville stud achieved record-breaking results at its recent on-property sale at Hallett, South Australia. The sale featured its largest ever line-up of 510 rams, which cleared in full for a total of $1.562 million.

The stud reported a record average price of $3,065 per ram, an increase of $1,213 over the previous year. A selected stud section of 30 rams averaged $14,017, with the top ram selling for $78,000. This top price is believed to be a national on-property record for the current season.

The highest-selling ram, purchased by Nick and Kate Wadlow of Old Ashrose, was sired by Cruden 1227. The animal weighed 136 kilograms and featured a 19.5 micron fleece.
