Collipulli community marks local milestones and traditions
The community of Collipulli is observing several local milestones and traditions. The Rotary Club of Collipulli recently completed a humanitarian initiative, delivering wheelchairs to four rural schools: Escuela Miguel Huentelén, Escuela Joel Collio Morales, Escuela Raúl Castro Márquez, and Escuela Nicolás Pérez Cárdenas. The equipment is intended to improve mobility, safety, and inclusion for students in these rural sectors.
Additionally, the Chilean Red Cross, Collipulli branch, is celebrating its 65th anniversary. Founded in 1961 to support the San Agustín Hospital following the devastating 1960 earthquake, the organization has become a vital part of the local social fabric.
In observance of Fiestas Patrias, the San Luis Gonzaga Parish will host a Thanksgiving Mass on September 16. This will be followed by civic acts in various sectors, including Villa Esperanza and Villa Mininco, as well as traditional festivities and games at the Jorge Standen Burgos Medialuna sector.
