Colm Boyle helps Davitts secure Mayo intermediate football title

At age 40, Mayo football veteran Colm Boyle helped his club, Davitts, secure the Mayo intermediate football championship with a victory over Ballinrobe. Davitts won the final with a score of 0-23 to 0-17.

Boyle, a former four-time All-Star, entered the match as a substitute. He made a decisive impact during the closing stages of the game by gathering a loose ball in the danger area and scoring a point from a difficult position, extending the lead to seven points.

The victory secures promotion for Davitts. This achievement follows a significant summer for Boyle, who previously served on the Mayo management team that helped the county win the Sam Maguire Cup.
