Colón municipality reports 27,000 formal jobs and industrial growth

Gaspar Trueba Moncada, the municipal president of Colón, Querétaro, has highlighted the significant industrial strength of the municipality, noting that it generates 27,000 formal jobs registered with the IMSS. The region hosts over 160 companies across 13 industrial parks and contains the largest aerospace cluster in Mexico.

To bolster regional competitiveness, a new business alliance has been formed between Colón and San Juan del Río through CANACINTRA. A major upcoming investment includes the arrival of Schneider, which is expected to generate more than 4,000 direct jobs immediately, with projections reaching over 7,000 jobs by 2030.

In his upcoming second activity report, Trueba Moncada will detail administrative progress, including over 200 million pesos invested in public works and the creation of more than 5,000 jobs during his current term. The administration aims to continue attracting investment to ensure long-term economic stability for the region.
