Colo Colo closes transfer window and extends Maureira's contract

Colo Colo has finalized its squad for the second half of the season following the close of the Chilean football transfer market. The club decided not to pursue the signing of Bruno Barticciotto from Talleres de Córdoba. Although Barticciotto was considered an option, Talleres president Andrés Fassi denied that any contact was made by the Chilean club, noting that the player is currently being sought by three teams in Argentina.

In addition to closing the market, Colo Colo has extended the contract of young goalkeeper Gabriel Maureira until the end of 2029. This move serves to protect the 19-year-old talent following his recent performances, even as the club welcomes the experienced 40-year-old goalkeeper Vozinha. The club maintains that the arrival of Vozinha is intended to provide support and healthy competition to help Maureira consolidate his position in the starting lineup.
