Colo Colo faces mixed results in youth and professional football

Colo Colo’s youth divisions achieved significant success in recent Superclásico matchups against Universidad de Chile. The Sub-11 team secured a 5-2 victory at the Centro Deportivo Azul, while the Sub-12 squad delivered a dominant 8-0 win. Additionally, the Sub-16 team defeated Deportes Temuco 5-3 at the Estadio Monumental.

In contrast, the professional squad is experiencing a period of instability. Currently leading the Primera División, the team has failed to win in its last four matches, most recently drawing 1-1 against Palestino. Former player Lucas Wilchez attributed this slump to frequent league interruptions, stating that the lack of competitive rhythm due to tournament pauses has negatively impacted the team’s performance.
