Cologno Sud: Two arrested after machete robbery wounds minor

Two individuals, aged 18 and 19, have been arrested following a violent machete robbery at the Cologno Sud metro station. The attack targeted a minor who was approached by a group of youths under the pretext of asking for a cigarette.

During the confrontation, the victim was struck, pushed, and eventually wounded in the leg with a machete while attempting to escape. The assailants stole a silver necklace, a mobile phone, a t-shirt, and a hat. The suspects, who were already known to law enforcement, have been placed in custody by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Monza.

Investigators noted that the suspects were also allegedly involved in a separate attempted robbery a few days later, leading to additional charges including illegal possession of weapons and resistance to public officials.
