Colombia and Mexico roll out new entrepreneurship training programs
The Government of Córdoba, Colombia, opened registrations for the Casa de la Mujer program in Montería, offering more than 400 free slots for women to take entrepreneurship and vocational courses. The courses, available until 10 July, cover accessories production, artisanal fast‑food preparation and event decoration. The initiative, which has already benefited over 3,000 women across eight municipalities, aims to increase income‑generating opportunities through skill development.
In Ciudad Juárez, Mexico, the Instituto de Capacitación para el Trabajo del Estado de Chihuahua (Icatech) is providing over 400 training courses throughout July. Participants can enroll for a fee of 395 pesos in subjects ranging from sewing and confectionery to artificial‑intelligence basics, digital marketing and audiovisual production. A mobile office of the tax authority will visit the institute on 28 July to help recent graduates complete fiscal registration, facilitating the formalization of their businesses.
