Colombia Chancellor faces investigation over resume irregularities
An investigation has uncovered multiple irregularities in the official curriculum vitae of Colombian Chancellor Omar Bula Escobar. The findings suggest that several academic credentials listed in his public profile may be falsified or misrepresented.
Specifically, Bula claimed to have earned a technical degree in ‘Strategic Negotiation for the Public Sector’ from Harvard University. However, records from the institution indicate he only completed a five-day executive education course at the John F. Kennedy School of Government in 1998. Under Colombian law, programs lasting fewer than 160 hours are classified as informal education rather than formal academic degrees.
Additionally, discrepancies were found regarding a specialization from George Washington University, which Bula listed as a two-semester program completed in 2020.
