Colombia crime: Drug arrest in Riohacha and robbery in Ibagué

In Riohacha, La Guajira, the National Police arrested a 23-year-old man in the El Paraíso neighborhood for the alleged trafficking and possession of narcotics. During the patrol, officers discovered 15 bags of cocaine hydrochloride weighing approximately 45 grams and 35 bags of marijuana weighing 35 grams inside a bag. The suspect attempted to flee but was apprehended, and he has been handed over to the Prosecutor General's Office.

In Ibagué, residents of the Valparaíso neighborhood detained a suspected thief following a robbery on Thursday night. The suspect allegedly used a sharp object to wound a victim in the face near Calle 80. After the attack, the individual attempted to hide in a local florist, but community members pursued and held him until police arrived. Video footage shows the suspect being detained by authorities with visible facial injuries.
