Colombia defeats Jordan 2-0 in San Diego friendly ahead of 2026 World Cup

Colombia’s national football team recorded a 2‑0 victory over Jordan in a pre‑World Cup friendly at Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego. Forward Jhon Arias netted both goals – the first in the 41st minute after a James Rodríguez assist, and the second a header from a Santiago Arias cross.

The win follows Colombia’s earlier 3‑1 friendly triumph over Costa Rica and moves the squad closer to its World Cup debut. Coach Néstor Lorenzo’s side will next face Uzbekistan on 17 June at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, the opening match of Group C at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
