Colombia e-commerce Hot Sale projected to exceed 12 million transactions

The Colombian e-commerce sector is preparing for the Hot Sale event, scheduled from October 16 to 23. The Colombian Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CCCE) projects significant growth for this edition, estimating sales of 2.4 trillion pesos and a volume exceeding 12.5 million transactions.

These projections represent a 34.1% increase in sales and a 25% rise in transaction volume compared to the 2025 edition. While the digital economy has shown momentum, the CCCE notes that e-commerce penetration in Colombia currently stands at approximately 7%, leaving substantial room for expansion compared to regional markets where penetration ranges between 15% and 16%.

The CCCE aims to use the event to bolster consumer confidence in digital channels and expand participation across various commercial sectors and regions.
