Colombia earthquake: 265 dead and economic emergency declared
A magnitude 7.4 earthquake with its epicenter in San José del Palmar, Chocó, has caused widespread devastation in Colombia. The disaster has resulted in at least 265 deaths, 3,494 injuries, and 496 missing persons. President Abelardo de la Espriella has declared an economic emergency and established a 'miracle fund' to rebuild critical infrastructure such as schools and hospitals.
