Colombia football team starts World Cup 2026 training in Mexico with fan‑filled session

The Colombia national soccer team opened its World Cup 2026 preparations at the Atlas FC Academy in Guadalajara, Mexico. Around 100 invited fans watched the 26‑player squad, coached by Néstor Lorenzo, train in front of the media. Star forwards Luis Díaz and James Rodríguez impressed, scoring striking goals during drills, while striker Jhon Córdoba returned to action after a tendon issue.

The week‑long camp in Guadalajara runs until June 15 before the team moves to Mexico City. Colombia will make its tournament debut against Uzbekistan on June 17 at the joint United States‑Mexico‑Canada World Cup.
