Córdoba and La Rioja launch economic relief and credit programs
In Argentina, several provincial governments are implementing financial relief measures to combat economic instability and rising debt. In Córdoba, Governor Martín Llaryora launched ‘Córdoba Impulsa,’ a program featuring interest-free installments via the Cordobesa card and a $20 billion credit line through Bancor. The initiative aims to support SMEs and stimulate consumption with a 33% TNA rate for working capital.
In La Rioja, Governor Ricardo Quintela announced a 20-point reduction in personal loan interest rates at Banco Rioja. The measures include special regularization conditions for debtors with over 90 days of arrears and a 36-month fixed-rate restructuring plan for Mastercard balances to address a significant deterioration in the bank's credit portfolio.
In Colombia, FEDEGÁN has requested an emergency government plan to mitigate economic losses caused by El Niño and La Niña, reporting significant livestock mortality and agricultural damage.
