Colombia launches National Vaccination Day with 3,000 sites

Colombia is conducting a National Vaccination Day on September 19, 2026, with more than 3,000 points activated across the country. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection has made these services free and available to all residents and travelers, regardless of health system affiliation or migratory status.

Available vaccines include those in the Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI), such as HPV, influenza, yellow fever, measles, rubella, pertussis, and COVID-19. A key feature of this campaign is the prioritized expansion of the dengue vaccine in Cali, Barranquilla, Sahagún, and El Carmen de Bolívar, specifically targeting 9-year-old children.

In Montería, the ESE VidaSinú is participating by enabling five hospitals and various health centers, including Sucre and Candelaria, to provide vaccinations. The local effort includes house-to-house visits in the Villa Cielo sector. Influenza vaccines will be prioritized for pregnant women and individuals with comorbidities.
