Colombia: Minister and Ombudsman debate exhibition of deceased combatants
Colombian Interior Minister Rodrigo Lara and Ombudsman Iris Marín are engaged in a debate regarding the public exhibition of bodies belonging to members of illegal armed groups killed during military operations.
Ombudsman Iris Marín argued that the government should not compete in cruelty with criminal organizations, stating that the State must not normalize using the deceased as a way to display authority.
