Colombia mobility initiatives and legislative reforms

In Colombia, several regional and national mobility initiatives are underway. The Magdalena Governorate has launched the ‘La Vía es de Todos’ strategy to establish dialogue channels with communities, aiming to prevent road blockades on the Santa Marta-Barranquilla corridor caused by service disputes. In Barranquilla, the Ministry of Transport is gathering citizen proposals for a reform of the National Transit Code, covering topics such as driver's licenses and traffic enforcement. Additionally, TransCaribe and Montería Amable are exploring institutional cooperation to strengthen public transport strategies between their respective cities.

On a legislative level, the Argentine Chamber of Deputies is set to debate reforms to the Penal Code, including proposals to prevent sexual offenses from expiring (imprescriptibility) and to increase penalties for such crimes. Meanwhile, in Neuquén, Argentina, a project to reform the Family Procedural Code is advancing, focusing on shortening judicial timelines and improving responses to domestic violence.
