Colombia President launches 2026-2030 National Development Plan consultations

President Abelardo De La Espriella has launched regional meetings in Pereira to construct the 2026-2030 National Development Plan, titled ‘Colombia La Patria Milagro’. The initiative aims to gather direct input from local territories to define investment priorities and ensure that governance is not centralized solely in Bogotá.

The National Planning Department has identified a portfolio of 334 major projects across the country, with an estimated total investment of $535.1 trillion pesos. The plan focuses on key sectors including connectivity, infrastructure, transport, energy, agriculture, tourism, and industry.

Macroeconomic goals outlined in the proposal include achieving a 6% GDP growth rate. The administration emphasizes a roadmap centered on large-scale works, investment, and employment, promising to manage public resources with strict accountability and focus on tangible results in the regions.
