Colombia pushes forward major urban projects in Manizales and Bogotá

In Manizales, the municipal government announced that the Parque Metropolitano in the Arrayanes neighborhood is in its final construction phase. Activities include asphalt paving of zone‑2 parking, marking parking spaces, installing topellantas, bathroom partitions, general cleaning, greening and planting trees. Engineer Luxzurylarid Ropero Guerrero said the project is successfully reaching completion and will soon be handed over to the public.

In Bogotá, the Ministerios Manzana 6 complex, a flagship redevelopment of the historic city centre, has reached 70 % of its construction. The 23‑storey, 94‑metre‑tall building, funded with 184 trillion Colombian pesos, will house the ministries of Labour and Justice. The project features a massive concrete foundation, a glass façade of 862 panels, and a public “Impluvium” dome with a 25‑metre‑diameter oculus. About 500 workers are on site, and the National Real Estate Agency Virgilio Barco (ANIM) highlighted the milestone during a media tour.
