Colombia to host Milagro Week in New York to attract investment

The Colombian government has announced the inaugural ‘Milagro Week,’ an investment summit scheduled to take place in New York from November 16 to 19. Led by Vice President José Manuel Restrepo and Minister of Commerce Mauricio Gómez Amín, the event aims to present a unified portfolio of over 70 strategic projects valued at 75 trillion pesos to international investors, funds, and multilateral banks.

The project portfolio spans several critical sectors, including energy, agriculture, mining, transportation, sustainable tourism, infrastructure, data centers, and technology. The initiative is part of the ‘Misión Crecer’ strategy intended to stimulate economic growth and job creation.

Beyond attracting U.S. capital, the strategy seeks to leverage improved relations with Venezuela to identify cross-border business opportunities. Key focus areas include electrical infrastructure, hydrocarbons, and mining. ProColombia will manage opportunities in food, medicine, and supplies, while the Ministry of Mines and Energy will oversee investments in the energy and extractive sectors.
