Colombia wins multiple medals in gymnastics at South American Games
Colombian gymnasts achieved significant success at the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026. Thomas Mejía secured the gold medal in the men's individual all-around competition with a total score of 78.750 points, narrowly defeating Brazil's Diogo Brajao. Mejía also earned a gold medal in the floor exercise with 13.425 points and a silver medal on the pommel horse.
Ángel Barajas contributed to the nation's medal count by winning gold on the pommel horse with a score of 13.850 and silver on the rings with 13.225 points. The Colombian men's national team also earned a silver medal in the team competition, finishing with a total of 305.600 points. In total, the Colombian men's artistic gymnastics delegation secured four medals during the apparatus finals: two gold and two silver.
