Colombian Actress Marcela Posada Faces $15 Million Debt Over Cloned Motorcycle Plates

Actress Marcela Posada, known for her role in the telenovela “Yo soy Betty, la fea,” is confronting a debt of roughly 15 million Colombian pesos after a motorcycle registered to her daughter, Nataly Arbeláez, was found to have its license plates cloned. The cloned plates have generated traffic fines and enforcement actions in the cities of Barranquilla and Soledad, leading to repeated comparendos, immobilizations and an order to embargo the family’s bank accounts. Posada has sought assistance from the Secretaría de Tránsito y Transporte of Barranquilla, hired a lawyer, and reported the case to the Fiscalía, but authorities have offered no resolution, describing the situation as a common regional problem. The actress warned that paying the fines would amount to admitting a crime, and she continues to request a definitive solution to clear the debt and stop further legal repercussions.
