Colombian afrobeat artists release new singles ‘Plenitud’ and ‘Playa Fría’

Colombian artists Zaider and Kapo have released new musical projects centered on themes of heartbreak and personal empowerment through the afrobeat genre.

Zaider released ‘Plenitud’, a song produced by Blass that explores the emotional void and the process of healing following a breakup. The track utilizes afrobeat rhythms, featuring prominent percussion and keyboards to contrast its nostalgic lyrical content. The official music video was filmed in Medellín.

Kapo released ‘Playa Fría’ under the La Industria INC and Sony Music Latin labels. The single serves as an anthem for personal empowerment and accepting the end of relationships. The accompanying music video, directed by Darío Burbano and produced by Velodrome, features a cinematic, vintage aesthetic with high-fashion styling.
