Colombian army destroys four coca processing labs in Nariño

The Colombian Army’s Fuerza de Tarea Hércules, part of the Third Division, carried out operations in the Pacific region of Nariño, locating and destroying four laboratories used to process base coca paste (PBC) in the rural municipalities of Roberto Payán, El Charco and Tumaco.

According to the forces, the labs were linked to members of the GAO‑r groups Bloque Occidental “Jacobo Arenas”, Structure 30 “Jhonier Toro Arenas” and Structure “Oliver Sinisterra” of the GAO‑r Coordinadora Nacional Ejército Bolivariano. The operation reportedly seized assets exceeding 115 million Colombian pesos, aiming to cripple the illicit financing of these armed groups and improve security for local communities.
