The Colombian government has reported a series of significant military operations targeting organized crime and drug trafficking.

In Mapiripán, Meta, the Colombian Army rescued José Luis Martínez Jaimes, who had been held captive by the Estructura 39 of the FARC dissidents for 11 months. During the operation, authorities also recovered a minor who had been forcibly recruited by the group and captured three suspected members of the armed structure.

In Antioquia, a combat operation in El Bagre resulted in the death of alias Momo, a leader of the Clan del Golfo. The military also captured two other individuals, alias Mónica and alias Chuzo, and seized various weapons, ammunition, and electronic equipment. The operation resulted in the death of Sergeant Yuber Antonio Gutiérrez and left four other soldiers wounded.

Additionally, the Colombian Navy intercepted 2.3 tons of cocaine in Tumaco, Nariño, leading to the arrest of three individuals. President Abelardo de la Espriella reaffirmed the administration's commitment to a frontal offensive against criminal organizations and narcotics trafficking.
