Colombian authorities rescue four abandoned puppies in Soacha after abuse complaint

Four mixed‑breed puppies, about four months old, were rescued from the Danubio neighborhood of Soacha, Colombia, after a citizen reported suspected animal abandonment and mistreatment. The Environmental Police, together with the Soacha Metropolitan Police and the municipal mayor’s office, verified the complaint, provided immediate veterinary care and food, and transferred the animals to a temporary shelter for recovery and eventual adoption.

The intervention follows a broader municipal effort to protect animals, encourage responsible adoption, and urge the public to report cases of cruelty.
