Colombian construction firms recognized for sustainability at Expocamacol

During the Expocamacol international construction and design fair in Medellín, eleven companies were recognized as ‘Pioneros SOSTENIDO’ for their commitment to sustainable building practices. The recognition was presented by CAMACOL and the Colombian Council for Sustainable Construction (CCCS).

The honored companies include Argos, Cemex, Deceuninck, Etex, Holcim, Knauf, Ladrillera Santafé, Pintuco, Sika, Toxement, and Eternit. These organizations are part of the SOSTENIDO platform, a Colombian initiative supported by the Swiss Embassy designed to connect manufacturers of sustainable products with builders and industry stakeholders to reduce sector emissions.

The platform aims to bridge environmental innovation with financial profitability by providing technical knowledge and verifiable environmental data. This helps the construction sector transition from sustainability promises to measurable results, such as low-carbon concrete, solar energy integration, and waste recycling, ensuring long-term project resilience and competitiveness.
