Colombian Court Upholds Order for Cerosetenta Over Jorge Rodríguez Investigation
The director of the investigative outlet Cerosetenta reiterated compliance with a second‑instance tutela sentence issued by the Juzgado 4º Penal para Adolescentes in Bogotá. The ruling follows Cerosetenta’s investigation, conducted with the Dutch newsroom Bellingcat, that alleged former Centro Democrático candidate Jorge Rodríguez had links to neo‑Nazi groups. After receiving the judgment, Cerosetenta removed all related content from its website and social media. The outlet clarified that the alleged connections have not been proven beyond reasonable doubt, that no criminal investigation or sentence exists against Rodríguez, and that the investigation did not find any financing or direct international network links.
The director emphasized that determining any such links is the role of the judiciary, not journalism, and that the outlet is complying fully with the court’s order.
