Colombian Designer Nicolás Martín García Debuts at Milan Fashion Week

Colombian designer Nicolás Martín García made history as the first Colombian to be included in the official Calendar of the Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana, unveiling his Spring‑Summer 2027 ‘Latin Dreamers’ collection at Milan Fashion Week. The collection, inspired by migration and multicultural identity, features garments printed with the Spanish phrase “Si lo crees, lo creas” and incorporates Colombian textile traditions with Italian fabrics. García said, “This collection is not only about where I was born, but about all the people who taught me that believing and creating are the same verb.”

The runway was staged as a vibrant Latin‑American neighbourhood, with live musicians and dancers, and attracted celebrity guests such as Bad Bunny and Maluma. The show was supported by the AFRO Fashion Association, which aims to increase BIPOC representation in the fashion industry.
