Colombian families demand release of detainees in Venezuela
Families of Colombian citizens detained in Venezuela gathered at the Simón Bolívar international bridge to demand the release of those still in custody. While celebrating the recent liberation of three individuals—Danner Gonzalo Barajas and brothers Pantaleón and José Luis de la Asunción Aragón—representatives Nubia Misse and Miriam Angarita emphasized that many others remain imprisoned.
Spokespersons called upon Dinorah Figuera of the 2015 National Assembly to intercede on behalf of the remaining detainees, including Arlei Espitia, Carlos Cañas, Moisés Uribe, and others. One family member highlighted the case of Guzmán Humberto Ramírez Angarita, who has reportedly been held for nearly 11 years. The protesters expressed a desire for the swift release of all Colombians, describing the current situation as a kidnapping of their loved ones.
