Colombian firms launch hybrid security models at ESS+ 2026

Colombian security firms are shifting toward hybrid protection models to address rising insecurity perceptions. In response to data showing 62% of Bogotá citizens feel unsafe, the private surveillance sector is integrating electronic monitoring with physical personnel to reduce human error in residential and industrial settings.

At the upcoming ESS+ 2026 International Security Fair, held at Corferias from August 26 to 28, the company Cercamos will showcase its Intelligent Perimeter Security (SPI) system. This technology utilizes piezoelectric sensors to detect vibrations in fences or walls, providing early intrusion alerts. The system is designed for autonomy, using solar panels to operate in rural areas or locations lacking traditional electrical grid access.
