Colombian football authorities implement security measures for upcoming matches

The Local Football Commission has established specific security and logistics protocols for upcoming matches in Colombia.

For the match between Deportivo Pereira and Jaguares de Córdoba scheduled for October 30 at the Hernán Ramírez Villegas stadium, officials have confirmed there will be no public attendance. This decision is due to ongoing infrastructure remodeling and intervention work intended to ensure spectator safety. Authorities will establish a Unified Command Post starting at 1:00 p.m. on match day to manage crowds, informal vending, and parking, while mobility restrictions will be in effect from noon.

In Bucaramanga, the Commission has authorized visiting fans to enter the Américo Montanini stadium for matches against Deportivo Pasto and Atlético Nacional. For the October 30 match against Deportivo Pasto, approximately 80 visiting fans are expected to occupy the lower north stand. For the November 2 match against Atlético Nacional, roughly 1,800 supporters are anticipated. These matches will be monitored by a multi-agency security device including the Police, Civil Defense, Red Cross, and transit authorities. Regulations include strict restrictions on wearing visiting team apparel, such as double or layered jerseys.
