Colombian football clubs announce charity match and transfer interest
Colombian football clubs Atlético Nacional and América de Cali are scheduled to play a friendly match at the Inter Miami CF Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on September 5. The event serves a charitable purpose, with a portion of the proceeds intended for victims of the earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10.
Separately, Argentine club Vélez Sarsfield has expressed interest in signing Cristian Arango, a striker currently on loan at Atlético Nacional from the San José Earthquakes. Because Arango is not a regular starter in his current squad, Vélez is looking to negotiate a transfer involving both the MLS club and Atlético Nacional.
