Colombian football officials suspended over medical fraud
The Colombian Football Federation and the Referee Commission have removed 25 referees, including central and assistant officials, from duty following a major scandal involving the falsification of medical and physical fitness tests.
Internal investigations revealed that the officials altered their results to bypass mandatory health and performance controls required for officiating matches in the Categoría Primera A. This breach of ethical and sporting regulations has raised concerns regarding the integrity of matches played during the current season. The incident has forced Dimayor to undergo a rapid restructuring of its officiating rosters for the remainder of the championship while disciplinary sanctions are finalized.
