Colombian governors roll out projects in Valle del Cauca and Tolima

Governor Dilian Francisca Toro of Valle del Cauca visited Tuluá and presented the Galardón de la Mujer Vallecaucana 2026 to trans leader Cristal Vargas Giraldo. The governor handed over supplies—including clothing, audio‑visual equipment, and sports gear—to help create a "Salón de la Diversidad," a centre for fashion, oratory, styling, and volleyball classes aimed at empowering the LGBTIQA+ community and other vulnerable groups.

Governor Adriana Magali Matiz of Tolima traveled to the municipality of Líbano, where she announced a series of investments covering road infrastructure, education, school transport, water and sanitation systems, and a compacting waste‑vehicle. The projects also include design work for a new aqueduct and progress on the Aprotic initiative, all intended to improve living conditions and public services for local residents.
