Colombian healthcare institutions announce regional expansions

Several Colombian healthcare providers are expanding their services to improve regional access to specialized medical care.

Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá has launched ambulatory and diagnostic operations at its new Tatamá site in the Cerritos sector of Risaralda. This expansion, developed in partnership with Fundación Santo Domingo and Fundación Tatamá, aims to decentralize specialized care for populations in Risaralda, Caldas, Quindío, northern Valle del Cauca, and Chocó. The move follows the institution's recent recognition in the World’s Best Hospitals 2026 rankings.

Additionally, Clínica de Oftalmología San Diego is expanding its facility within the Clínica Llanogrande in Rionegro, Antioquia. The expansion includes new consultation rooms, a larger waiting area, and improved appointment scheduling through digital channels like WhatsApp. The initiative seeks to provide the same level of specialized technology and care in the Oriente Antioqueño region as is available in Medellín, reducing the need for patient travel.
