Colombian military neutralizes Segunda Marquetalia finance leader
A joint operation by the Colombian National Army and the Gaula Militar in the department of Caquetá resulted in the death of Eider Quitora Olarte, an individual identified by authorities as a financial leader for the Teófilo Forero Castro structure of the Segunda Marquetalia group.
Known by the aliases 'Alexis Perdomo', 'El Tigre', or 'Johan González', Quitora Olarte had reportedly been linked to the organization for approximately seven years, rising through the ranks to manage financial resources. Authorities state he was responsible for extortion activities in the departments of Caquetá and Huila.
The military operation took place in the La Esperanza ravine, within the jurisdiction of Belén de los Andaquíes. During the intervention, military forces rescued a minor and secured the safety of three individuals who were reportedly victims of extortion. The operation aimed to disrupt the financial networks used by armed groups to fund illegal activities and exert territorial control.
