Colombian police dismantle two criminal gangs in Norte de Santander

The National Police of Colombia arrested five alleged members of the criminal group known as “Los Intocables” after a seven‑month investigation in Ocaña. The suspects, including a man identified as “El Vecino”, face charges of homicide, attempted homicide, qualified theft and illegal possession of firearms.

In a separate operation in Cúcuta, three men were captured for their alleged involvement in the “Los del Anillo” gang, which targets motorcyclists. Two of the detainees are Venezuelan nationals. Authorities say the gang stole motorcycles, phones and cash, transporting the stolen bikes through remote trails before discarding them. Both raids were coordinated by regional investigative units and the local prosecutor’s office, highlighting an intensified police offensive against organized crime in the Norte de Santander department.
