Colombian police seize 11,686 gallons of gasoline in Cesar
As part of Operation Urano, the Colombian National Police seized 11,686 gallons of gasoline being transported in a tractor-trailer on the San Roque–La Paz road in the Cesar department. Two individuals were arrested during the operation.
Authorities stated that the seizure targets the illicit revenues of the ELN ‘Camilo Torres Restrepo’ front, a group allegedly controlling illegal hydrocarbon extraction valves in the La Aurora sector of Chiriguaná. The operation represents an estimated economic blow of approximately 200 million pesos to the criminal group's finances. The suspects and seized materials have been handed over to the Attorney General's Office on charges of hydrocarbon receiving.
