Colombian Subaquatic Hockey Champion Juan Camilo López Heads to Worlds

Juan Camilo López, leader of the Ecosystem of Motricity at the Faculty of Education of Universidad de San Buenaventura, won the national sub‑24 subaquatic hockey championship in Medellín on 18‑19 April 2026. The victory marks the tenth consecutive year the university team has taken first place in the category.

López and his teammates will represent Colombia at the 2026 World Subaquatic Hockey Championship scheduled for July in Gebze, Turkey, following their national success.

The university also hosted a literary event where student María Ligia Urrea Ramírez presented her book *Cuentos que curan*, highlighting the institution’s broader cultural activities.
