Colombian towns launch nutrition aid programs for families and seniors

In Rosario de Perijá, mayor Ely Ramón Atencio announced the rollout of the "Mi Combo de Leche Familiar" program, delivering a kilogram of milk, a milk sachet and derived products such as chicha to 400 families to combat malnutrition. The mayor also donated sound equipment to the local Catholic church, contributed to an evangelical church event, inaugurated the La Matica II school court after two decades of disuse, and provided a computer for the school, alongside a municipal cleaning operation.

In Dosquebradas, mayor Roberto Jiménez inaugurated the second year of the "Nutriendo con Amor" initiative, supplying nutrition packages to 730 older adults. Each package contains powdered milk, cereal bars, protein powders, bakery items and a thermos, with accompanying guidance on preparation and regular anthropometric assessments to monitor beneficiaries' health.
